Dead Trees
Hey, welcome back! It's been pretty quiet around here because I've been extremely busy at work. Still, last night, when everyone was gone, I snuck out for some urban sketching.
Halfway through me painting that bicycle, the owner came and rode away. I like how loose the painting turned out because of that. I'm also happy with the perspective of the frame. The one thing I still struggle with a lot is drawing circles in perspective.
The other thing I painted that night is a dead tree next to a parking lot near where I live. The bark is peeling off its trunk and branches and it looks almost monochrome.
The weekend after this coming one, I'll start another course and then another one later this month so things should get busy around here again very soon.
