Hi there, welcome to my blog. This is where you can follow my journey of sketching, drawing and painting the things and people in my life.
I recently developed an interest in these art forms, never having drawn or painted much in my post-kindergarten life. Even though my ability to capture what I see is very limited, I enjoy playing with pencils and brushes all the same. Over the course of the coming months, I plan to learn about the different media so that I can have more control over what I produce. It's fun to be surprised by what happens when I put a pen to paper and I expect that some unpredictability will always remain but I also wish to be able to steer the process a little more.
For the time being, I'm learning so much with every painting I produce that I feel my time is best spent just producing as much as fun allows. I especially love playing with watercolors and seeing how the water and the pigment interact on the page or how two colors combine. In a future post, I'll show you my current sketching setup which allows me to be light and nimble and be ready when inspiration strikes.
For now, thanks for reading my first post. This blog is still a mess and since I don't have a readership right now, I'm not in a rush to make everything nice and tidy.
