Greenwich
Emma and I recently moved to Greenwich! Every time we go on a walk, I see at least a couple of views I want to come back to paint. I went out with my sketchbook yesterday without much success but I'm not giving up. Prepare for some drawings of the observatory domes soon! Incidentally, the move is also why it's been quiet on this blog in the last few weeks but expect the frequency of new posts to reach its usual erratic schedule again soon.
Anyway, I've talked a little bit before on this blog about how I want to use photography as a way to practice composition. I've been taking pictures here and there but today, my friend Kell came over and we went down to the Old Royal Naval College here in Greenwich to take some pictures. Before we went, we watched the first lecture of Exposing Digital Photography, an online he found and downloaded some time ago, to learn more about our cameras and photography in general. Here are some of the pictures I took:
Unrelatedly, I've been struggling to make the email newsletter for this blog work properly. The old service I was using suddenly decided to stop delivering my email and I haven't been able to find an easy replacement for it. Maybe this is an opportunity to think about where I want to take this blog.
