Lemons & Cups
We started with the final exercise this week: painting still lives in color. I'm quite happy with my first attempt, you can see a photograph of my setup below. Especially the lemon came out nice.
I used to think it was just a cliché but it really is true that painting is all about seeing. It's fascinating observing myself starting to learn how to see color temperature.
Life drawing on Monday was all about shade. Another thing to learn how to see: value.
I also took this picture of an abstract painting I made last year. Seeing this again made me want to play with paint again.
