Lime
Emma spotted this car a few weeks ago and sent me a picture (after I drew the other Volkswagen bus). I've been on the lookout ever since and on my evening walk today, I finally spotted it. I rushed home and got my paint set. Unfortunately, it started to drizzle soon after I started drawing so I took a picture and painted it from that.
The proportions are a little wonky, the jaw is too big and I didn't realise how different the angles on the lines of the side of the car were but overall I'm very happy with having painted this bus. It's a cool color and its face has a lot of personality. Maybe I'll try painting it one more time but then again, there's so much else in the world I haven't painted yet...
I tried finding the right shade of green by mixing a few greens. I still don't know how the characteristics of the base colors affect the color they form when combined.
I'm fairly happy with the green I wish it was a little bit more limey. I played around a little with mixing different greens a few days ago, perhaps it's time for a more systematic swatch to understand what blues and what yellows mix to what greens.
