London At Night

The other night, I took my camera on a little night stroll through the streets. It's been getting dark very early and I was under the assumption that I'd need sunlight to shoot photos outside but that evening, I just tried shooting in the dark to see how it would look. Turns out it looks just fine.

Besides foxes, I'm mostly interested in experimenting with composition. Since I'm shooting with a prime lens (one that doesn't zoom), it's nice to have the streets empty so I can move around and frame my subject.

Of the pictures I took that night, I like the one I put at the top of this post the most. It's so busy but also visually interesting. I'd like to try painting it sometime, although it seems like a challenging scene to copy.
