New Easel & Autumn Classes (+ Stray Zombie)
I bought an easel! It was on sale at Great Art and I've been thinking of getting one for a while. It rocks left and right a little bit but it's very easy to adjust so for £35, I'm not complaining. I also got an A1 sized MDF board to clip my paper to. I've been going through the portrait drawing course from Vitruvian Studio recently and it's much nicer to do on a vertical surface than to have the sketchbook lying on the table in front of me.
I also signed up for the foundation course at the London Fine Art Studios in the autumn term. I found this place online and want to give it a shot.
From their website, they sound quite conservative in their approach but I'm not too concerned with that at the moment, I just want to improve my figurative drawing skills. This place is in Battersea and I signed up for the Saturday morning class. My intention is to bike there and get a nice workout in, let's see if that will pan out...
I also signed up for a life drawing class at the Royal Drawing School. This one I signed up for on the spot during the portrait course last month because of how much I enjoyed Sharon's teaching. I'm really excited about trying life drawing for the first time.
Finally, here's the first zombie from the new easel. I usually batch these together so you don't get spammed with daily emails but since I'm posting anyway, this one comes included:
