Portraits at the Royal Drawing School
On Friday I had my first portrait drawing class of this term. I signed up for portrait drawing because whenever I tried to draw faces in my life drawing class, I found it often ended up spoiling otherwise successful drawings. Over time, it turned into a bit of a neurosis and it was time to attack it head on!

I'm very happy with the top two drawings and I was surprised at how well they turned out.
One book I want to take another look at with this class (even though my teachers would probably disapprove) is Loomis's Drawing The Head & Hands. Getting proportions right and placing the facial features is something I struggle with in most of my drawings.
