Weekend Sketching

It's a long weekend here in the UK. The weather has been very nice and we've been walking around, enjoying the sun. Here are some pictures from yesterday and today:

Even though it's very loose, I still like the painting of the post-it sails. I'm also happy with the other painting. I tried drawing the shaded side of the gate in darker colors and it makes it look much more three dimensional than the little shed I painted in Victoria Park a few weeks ago.

The tree was hard to paint, its leaves are a mix of brown, purple and green. I wonder what type of tree this is...
